When you arrive at Dalaman Airport to catch your plane, check the Flight Information Monitors for detailed information about the flights to and from the terminal. There is also one information counter both in the departure hall to assist passengers. Passenger announcements are made in 4 languages.
Dalaman Airport has 12 boarding gates: 8 of them with passenger bridges. The newly constructed apron has increased the number of plane docking areas to 14 and a total of 35 planes now may park at the airport at any one time. All the passenger bridges are equipped with the latest air conditioning systems to ensure passenger comfort.
The International Terminal can check in 4.000 passengers and 5.000 pieces of baggage per hour with 60 computerised check in desks.
The new terminal building has toilets for wheelchair users, lifts, ramps and escalators that help facilitate access for disabled people. The airport land services officers accompany disabled passengers all through the terminal. Airline companies and tour operators must warn the land services officers before the passenger's arrival in case they do not have their own wheel chair. Dalaman Airport will provide a wheel chair on request.
In the departures area you will find a number of restaurants and fast-food outlets with a good range of Turkish and other dishes and snacks on offer as well as a Grand Bazaar shopping centre with shops selling a great variety of Turkish products, including carpets, leather items, foodstuffs and handicrafts.There are duty-free shops both in the arrivals and departures areas of the international terminal as well as a newsagent and florists are also available.
